Free busses are available to transport your belongings and guests to the finish area. Busses are also available after the race and post race party/awards ceremony to return runners and guests to the Vineyard Haven Steamship Authority Terminal. Showers are available at the finish.

Course Info: Course Map

The course was measured by bicycle calibration and is sanctioned by the USATF. Miles are clearly marked and accurately placed. The race starts at the Steamship Authority Terminal in Vineyard Haven and ends at the Oak Bluffs School. The course is mostly flat with a few hills around mile 2-3, some small hills in the DCR's Manuel F. Correllus State Forest section, and the last 3 miles.  If you are from hill country you will never notice! Please use bike paths and sidewalks when available, as the roads will be open to traffic. Please be careful.

Water & Aid Stations:

Water & aid stations will be provided approximately every 2 miles. Gatorade will be at some of the later stops. If you require more fuel or gel, please carry a water belt. Each station will have First Aid supplies and EMT's will be at the finish line. If you need to drop out, please try to do so at an aid station where there will be a warm vehicle for you. A SAG vehicle will be sweeping the course.

Race Course Closing Time:

For your safety, and the safety of our volunteers, the course will close at 3:00pm. If you are unable to finish in that time you will be asked to accept a ride to the finish. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Travel to the Vineyard:

The Ferry crossing from Woods Hole is 45 minutes. We recommend taking the 8:15am or 9:30am boat. If you are bringing a vehicle you will need to make a reservation by calling (508) 477-8600 or visiting www.steamshipauthority.com. If you are not bringing a car you do not need a reservation.

$40.00 - Registrations Received on or Before 12/31/2011

$50.00 - Registrations Received After 12/31/2012

Entry fee includes our infamous, top quality event shirt, an unbelievable feast at the finish, and a great race. We apologize, but we are no longer able to offer a discount to returning runners or race directors.  All proceeds from this event benefit the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club and other deserving Island youth organizations and programs.

All entries received prior to January 12, 2012 are guaranteed an event shirt

Awards Ceremony will commence at 3:00pm

Metals are awarded for:

            - Top 3 Male & Female Winners Overall

            - Top 3 Male & Female Winners in each age group (every 5 years)

            - and Top Island Male/Female special award
