The course was measured by bicycle calibration and is sanctioned by the USATF. Miles are clearly marked and accurately placed. The race starts at the Steamship Authority Terminal in Vineyard Haven and ends at the Oak Bluffs School. The course is mostly flat with a few hills around mile 2-3, some small hills in the DCR's Manuel F. Correllus State Forest section, and the last 3 miles. If you are from hill country you will never notice! Please use bike paths & sidewalks when available, as the roads will be open to traffic. People are generally patient, but there is always someone in a hurry. Please be careful.
