More than just a tagline, GREAT FUTURES START HERE speaks to the unlimited potential of today’s Club members, and a testament to the success of the Club’s alumni. There are many notable individuals who credit Boys & Girls Clubs as a powerful influence in their lives. Among them are national co-spokespersons Denzel Washington and Jennifer Lopez, along with General Wesley Clark, Misty Copeland, John Paul DeJoria, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Shaquille O'Neal, Ashanti, Smokey Robinson, and Martin Sheen.

Locally, while not quite as high profile, there are Club alumni who positively impact everyday life. Among these alumni are business owners, police officers, firefighters, veterans and members of the armed forces, fathers, mothers, coaches, community leaders, volunteers, teachers, neighbors, and possibly even yourself. As a Club alumnus myself, I take great pride in being a part of this fraternity, and I’m proud to help carry on the tradition of the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club.

The Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club provides high-impact, affordable programs, and caring adult mentorship to give kids an opportunity to learn and grow. Every day, the Club emphasizes academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.

Every child follows a path in life. For many that path will lead them to a door, a door that gives them a place to grow, to learn, to belong; a place to forge their future. For 74 years the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club has opened this door for the Island’s youth, and while many doors open, this doors transforms.
